Digital Downloads Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to e-books, workbooks, templates, guides, case resources and other downloadable DecodingEdu products.

2. Licence

Unless otherwise stated, purchase provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the product for individual educational purposes.

Purchase does not transfer copyright or ownership.

3. Permitted use

A purchaser may:

  • Download the product for personal use
  • Store a reasonable personal backup
  • Print a reasonable personal copy
  • Use the material for personal learning and reflection
  • Cite brief portions with appropriate acknowledgement where permitted by law

4. Prohibited use

Without written permission, users must not:

  • Share files with other individuals
  • Upload products to shared drives, public websites or learning platforms
  • Resell, sublicense or redistribute products
  • Remove copyright or ownership notices
  • Reproduce substantial portions in another publication
  • Convert individual access into institutional or group access
  • Upload protected content to artificial-intelligence systems for reproduction, training, redistribution or commercial derivative use
  • Use material in a way that infringes copyright or other rights

Institutional, classroom, library or group use may require a separate licence.

5. Access and delivery

Download instructions or access links will be displayed after purchase or sent to the email address supplied at checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate email address and maintaining compatible software and devices.

Links may be subject to expiry, download limits or reasonable security restrictions. Customers should download and securely store purchased files within the stated access period.

7. Technical difficulties

If a file is corrupted, incorrect or inaccessible, contact [email protected] with the order details. DecodingEdu will attempt to provide a working replacement or reasonable alternative.

8. Updates

Purchase does not automatically include future editions, major revisions or new products unless expressly stated. Minor corrections may be supplied at DecodingEdu's discretion.

9. Refunds

Digital-product refunds are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

10. Educational responsibility

Templates, cases and guidance must be adapted thoughtfully to the user's institutional, professional and cultural context. They do not replace applicable policies, regulations or independent professional judgement.
