Refund and Cancellation Policy
19 July 2026
Current status
Many DecodingEdu offerings are presently marked "Coming Soon." Joining an interest, notification or release list does not require payment and does not create a purchase or confirmed booking.
This policy will apply when paid products and registrations are activated.
General principle
Requests should be sent to [email protected] with:
- Purchaser's name
- Email used for purchase
- Order or registration number
- Product or event name
- Reason for the request
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where technically possible. Processing times may depend on the selected payment provider.
Any mandatory rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.
Online courses
A refund request may be considered within seven calendar days of purchase where:
- The course has not been substantially accessed
- Materials have not been downloaded
- A certificate has not been issued
- The user has not otherwise substantially consumed the service
Once substantial access or downloading has occurred, a change-of-mind refund will not normally be available.
If access cannot be provided because of a verified DecodingEdu technical failure that cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, an extension, replacement access or refund may be offered.
Live webinars
Unless different terms are displayed during registration:
- Cancellation at least seven calendar days before the webinar may qualify for a refund.
- Later cancellation may be transferred to another eligible participant or future session at DecodingEdu's discretion.
- Non-attendance does not normally qualify for a refund.
- If a recording was expressly included, access to the recording may be offered instead.
Event cancellation or rescheduling by DecodingEdu
If DecodingEdu cancels a paid webinar without providing a reasonable replacement, registered participants will be offered a full refund.
If an event is rescheduled, participants may accept the new date, receive an alternative where available or request a refund within the period stated in the rescheduling notice.
Digital downloads
Because digital products can be accessed or copied immediately, refunds are not normally provided after a file has been downloaded or access has been supplied.
A replacement, correction or refund may be considered where a digital product is:
- Materially different from its description
- Corrupted or unusable
- Supplied incorrectly
- Inaccessible because of a verified technical problem that cannot reasonably be corrected
See the Digital Downloads Policy for further details.
Printed books and resources
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund before dispatch.
After dispatch, refunds are normally limited to products that arrive:
- Damaged
- Defective
- Incorrect
- Materially different from the description
The issue should be reported within seven calendar days of delivery, accompanied by reasonable photographic evidence where appropriate.
Duplicate payments
Verified duplicate payments will be refunded.
Charges outside DecodingEdu's control
Currency-conversion charges, bank charges, payment-provider fees or international transaction costs may not be refundable where they were charged independently by a third party.
Abuse and misuse
Refunds may be refused where there is evidence of fraud, repeated abusive requests, unlawful copying, account sharing or substantial use of a product before requesting repayment.
